It is suitable for recycling and pelletizing dirty, low-quality, or waste materials, as well as pipe production. The screenless die head is a revolutionary new product in the recycled plastic extrusion industry. It eliminates the need to replace filter screens, greatly reducing costs and decreasing the frequency of manual filter changes, thus lowering workers' labor intensity. Moreover, the screenless die head ensures continuous pelletizing and pipe production, increases output, and establishes a certain melt pressure at the die head, enhancing the plasticization of materials.
The working principle of the screenless die head is based on its unique filtration and slag removal mechanism, which differs from traditional screen filtration methods. The main components of the screenless die head include a filter plate and a scraper. The filter plate is made of ultra-durable, wear-resistant alloy steel and has a large number of conical micro-holes to prevent clogging, filtering molten plastic and blocking impurities. At the same time, the screenless die head is equipped with a synchronously operating scraper that works at a speed of 2–3 revolutions per minute to remove impurities. During operation, as the molten plastic passes through the micro-holes, impurities and dirt are retained on one side of the filter plate. The scraper then rotates at a specific speed to remove these impurities and push them into a storage chamber. When the impurities in the storage chamber accumulate to a certain amount, they can be automatically discharged based on a time setting or manually removed, allowing 24-hour continuous slag removal without frequent filter replacements. This design greatly improves the efficiency of recycled plastic pellet production, reduces labor intensity, and, since there is no traditional mesh screen, avoids the high consumption and cost associated with it as well as the potential secondary pollution caused by used filter screens.
